Since tax season is starting, I wanted to share some resources for filing your taxes. I encourage you to do your research before filing your taxes. The IRS offers advice at their website regarding filing taxes for free. I am also not a tax expert or accountant and I encourage you to seek professional advice if needed.

The IRS has a free file online program where it partnered with tax preparation and filing companies to offer free federal tax filing. You also have the option of filling out free fillable forms at the IRS website.

There are some criteria that you need to meet in order for you to file your taxes for free.

  • You must meet the AGI or Adjusted Gross Income requirement that is subject to change year to year.
