Today I am going to be sharing experience gift ideas as a part of my low waste gift guide series. I chose a variety of ideas that can fit a variety of budgets. I will be posting a series of blog posts up until Christmas with ideas to help you find the right gift during the holiday season.
Some of these experience gift ideas depend on Covid-19 Regulations and what is currently open right now depending on where you live. I encourage you to follow your local public health guidelines, wear a mask, avoid large crowds, and stay home if sick.
- Audible subscription
- National Parks or Beach Pass
- Cameo video from a celebrity
- Babbel or Rosetta Stone subscription
- Museum Tickets
- Online Class based on their interests
- Costco, BJ’s, or Sam’s Club Membership
- Pay for extracurricular activities
- Vacation
- Disney+, Hulu, or Netflix Subscription
- Socially distant photography session with a local photographer
- Gardening Supplies
- Movie Tickets
- Escape rooms in a box (If you google escape rooms in a box you can find them on Etsy or through an escape room company)
- A gift card to a local Restaurant or Cafe
- Experience calendar with pre-planned dates or you choose the date and what to do together. I saw this gift idea online and the dates can be anything that you choose. It’s a great idea if you want something more tangible that you can wrap.
But how do I give an experience gift to someone?
- Put the tickets, reservation confirmation, a photo or a piece of paper saying what they are going to do in an envelope or wrap it.
- Gift with an item associated with the experience.
- Scavenger Hunt
- Give them a puzzle that they need to solve to find out what their gift is
